The Versatile Blogger Award!

Many thanks to Rebecca from Taking Up Room who nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award! I hadn’t received this kind of award for some time so, of course, it would be a pleasure for me to accept it and fulfill the requests the best I can.

To accept a Versatile Blogger Award you must:

1- Thank the person who nominated you – DONE!

2- Provide a link to their blog – also done!

3- Share seven facts about yourself

4- Nominate 15 blogs of your choosing.

I’ve said so many things about myself for the Liebster Award, but life obviously went on since the last time, so I’ll try to find 7 new things!

1- I very recently applied for the screenwriting program at the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles! It was a hard and complex task. The simple fact that they finally got all my documents on time was satisfying enough. Now I just have to be patient and wait!

2- I can sing both Five Years by David Bowie and No Imagination by Blondie accompanied by piano.

3- I discovered that I might be related to many celebrities thanks to the app “We’re Related”. This includes classic film stars such as: Jayne Mansfield, Lucille Ball, James Dean, Robert Mitchum, Jean Harlow, Debbie Reynolds, John Wayne, Buster Keaton, Anthony  Perkins, Barbara Stanwyck, Vincente Minnelli, Walt Disney, George C. Scott, Vincent Price, and Nat King Cole! Just very distant cousins, but still!

4- I have pretty varied musical tastes. For example, I both like Black Sabbath and Doris Day (just to give you two complete opposite).

5- I went to England last May and when I was in Bristol, I found Cary Grant’s statue completely by coincidence! I was just walking and there it was! I had completely forgotten it was his hometown actually. Lovely and fun city!

6- Some of you might already know this, but I graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a Bachelor in Fine Arts: Specialization Film Studies (with distinction) last Spring. So, yeah!

7- Even tho it used to be the 50s, my favourite decade in films is now the 30s. Why? Screwball comedies, Busby Berkeley Musicals, and Pre-code films!

The blogs I nominate for the award! I tried as much as possible to nominate blogs I hadn’t nominate before for another award or who weren’t already nominate by Rebecca.

These are not in a particular order.

1 – The Stop Button

2- Musings of A Classic Film Addict

3- Popcorn and Flickers

4- 4 Star Films

5- Maddy Loves Her Classic Films

6- The Midnite Drive-In

7- Vinnieh

Due to the previously mentioned circumstances, I only nominate these seven blogs. Congrats to all!

Thanks again to Rebecca for the nomination.

And happy new year!
