Hello everybody! I think it’s time for us to announce a new blogathon! Three years ago, I hosted The Marathon Star Blogathon with Crystal from In the Good Old Days of Classic Hollywood. We thought it would be nice to bring it back a second time! The first edition was a great success. This time, we are pleased to be joined by Samantha from Musings of a Classic Film Addict! It’s the first blogathon I’ll be hosting with her!
For those who are not familiar with The Marathon Stars Blogathon, well, it’s basically the occasion for you to discover an actor or an actress! The blogathon simply consists in doing a little film marathon. So, of course, you’ll have to watch more than one film!
The event will start on March 14 and will take an end on March 16, 2019.
If you wish to participate in our extraordinary event (!), please take a look at these rules:
1- Choose an actor or an actress from whom you haven’t seen many films (a maximum of three). You can take a “modern star” but she should have started her career in the 2000s or before. If you want to take a character actor, you are more than welcomed to do so.
2- As there are many stars to choose from, we won’t allow duplicates.
3- To give a fair chance to everybody, we will allow a maximum of two (2) entries/blogger this time.
4- When you submit your subject, please tell us the name of your blog, your topic, and your blog URL.
5- Once your subject is approved, we encourage you to start watching films with your chosen actor or actress as soon as possible. It has to be films you have never seen before and you should watch a minimum of FIVE (5) films. You’ll have until the blogathon dates to do so. Therefore, we suggest you subscribe as soon as possible.
6- Also, once you’re subject has been confirmed, we invite you to choose one of those beautiful banners created by us and add it on your blog to help us promote the event.
7- The blogathon will start on March 14 and will end on March 16, 2019. We’ll each host one day, so make sure to submit your entry on the right blog depending on when you submit it.
8- In your entry, you should tell us about the films you watched for the blogathon. Of course, you can choose the way you want organize it. I especially encourage you to focus on the chosen actor/actress’s performances. To guide you, here is my entry for the last edition of the blogathon: Claire Trevor’s Film Marathon.
9- Invite your other friends to participate and enjoy! If you have any question, don’t hesitate to ask! You can also write me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
