Help me choose a new header photo for The Wonderful World of Cinema! Round 2

I informed you that I was ready for a new header photo for this blog in my previous post. To determine which photo would have this honour, I selected 12 photos from films respecting the following theme: comedies and musicals from the 60s (in colour). I organized random matches between the photos and, in the first round (which ended on April 23, 2021), voters decided which six ones should move on to the next round. A big thanks to those of you who have voted! And now we are ready to vote in the second round. There are three matches with two photos competing against each other in each match. And, once again, I’m inviting you to vote for your favourite photos! Before doing so, please read these important points:

  • I picked the matches randomly to keep everything fair.
  • You have until April 28, 2021, at 11:59 PM ET, to vote.
  • This is important: Please, vote for your favourite PHOTO, not for your favourite film. That means that even if you haven’t seen all the films, you can still cast a vote in all the matches. It also means that if in one of the matches there’s a film you have seen and one that you haven’t seen, but you prefer the photo from the film you haven’t seen, well, it’s that photo that should have your vote.

Without further ado, here are the matches!

1- How to Steal a Million (William Wyler, 1966) vs. My Fair Lady (George Cukor, 1964)

2- Carry On Camping (Gerald Thomas, 1969) vs. Help! (Richard Lester, 1965)

3- West Side Story (Robert Wise, 1961) vs. The Grass Is Greener (Stanley Donen, 1960)

That’s all! Remember, you have until April 28, 2021, at 11:59 PM ET, to vote! Thanks in advance for doing so! Please, don’t hesitate to share these polls with your friends to increase the number of voters!

See you at the last round! 🙂
